This 3" milling vise is good for general mill work.
The jaws are 80 mm (3.15") wide, 310 mm (1.21") deep, and open to 65 mm (2.56") capacity.

The precision 3" Kurt-style milling vise includes a swivel base.
The top, bottom of vise bed, gib, jaws, swivel base, and all plate mounting surfaces are ground. The jaws are hardened and ground. The detachable swivel base allows 360 degree rotation of the vise.

The set of ten pairs of thin parallels come in a fitted case. The parallels are 1/8" thick and 3" long. The heights are 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 7/8", 1", 1-1/8", 1-1/4", 1-3/8", 1-1/2", and 1-5/8". They are made of high grade alloy steel hardened to 52 to 58 Rc. The top and bottom surfaces are parallel within 0.0002". The pairs are matched in height within 0.0004".
The vise mounting kit contains the items needed to mount the milling vise on a mini mill. The T-slot nuts fit 7/16" (12 mm) T-slots. All the parts are hardened for long life. The vise mounting kit includes 2 each studs, T-slot nuts, flange nuts, and hardened washers.
The DVD, by Jose Rodriguez, provides a 4 hour introduction to the use of the milling machine. The DVD has a menu that makes it easy to return to parts of the video that you want to see again.
Jose says: "This video tapes was just produced in 99 as a result of the most ambitious project undertaken by the author. It features his shop made modelmaker's variable speed milling machine. The video is basically a complete basic milling operations course but rather than boring the viewer with dozens of unrelated procedures, you get to see the author produce a dovetailed tool block for his quick change tool system he designed for his 7 x 10 mini lathe.
