Description
Harlingen 7 Piece 9/16" to 15/16" High Speed Steel Annular Cutter Set. An annular cutter is a hollow drill bit with sharp edges that's used to drill large holes in a variety of materials, including on hardened steel, mild steel and stainless steel (up to 35 HRC).
Annular cutters can drill larger holes faster and with less force than a standard twist drill bit. They can also produce a higher quality finish than hole saws. As the cutter rotates, it cuts a ring of material from the outside of the hole, leaving a solid core in the center. The cutter then removes the ring, leaving a clean hole with minimal burring.
Set includes 6 annular cutters (9/16, 5/8, 11/16, 13/16, 7/8, 15/16) designed to cut to a 1" cutting depth. Features a Weldon shank - 3/4" shank diameter. Also includes 1 center punch and a fitted case.
