Collection: Boring Bars & Boring Sets

A boring bar is a precision cutting tool used to enlarge, refine, and finish pre-existing holes to exact dimensions and improve internal surface quality.

A boring bar is primarily used to machine the inside of an existing hole. Unlike drilling, which creates a hole from solid material, boring focuses on enlarging and refining holes to achieve precise diameters, straightness, and concentricity with the workpiece’s axis of rotation

It uses a single-point cutting tool that allows the operator to control the final diameter and correct any misalignment or irregularities left by the initial drilling process

Boring bar sets and indexable boring bars--carbide and high-speed steel.
