Description
Mini Lathe starter kit designed for 7x10, 7x12, 7x14, and 7x16 mini lathes and includes all the basics you need to get started with a new mini lathe.
- 8 Lathe Tool Bits, 5/16" Pre-sharpened HSS. Set includes No.1 Right-Hand Turning Tool (80°), No.2 Left-Hand Turning Tool (80°), No.3 Straight Turning Tool (60°), No.4 Corner (45°) Tool, No.5 Parting Tool, No.6 Boring Tool, No.7 Threading (60°) Tool, No.8 Corner (60°) Tool. The standard turret tool post on most mini lathes is sized to use 5/16" tool bits (6287).
- Arbor with 2 Morse taper to 33 Jacobs taper. Short Morse taper and does not need to be cut to use in the tail stock of the mini lathe (1804).
- Drill Chuck: 0-1/2" capacity drill chuck. The rated capacity of the drill chuck is 1 mm (0.039") to 13 mm (0.512"). Runout of this chuck is 0.008" (0.20 mm) or less. All working parts are hardened. Chuck key is included. Number 33 Jacobs taper mount (1212).
- 4 combined drills and countersinks (Center Drills) made of high-speed steel (2990). Sizes 1, 2, 3, and 4 with 60-degree countersinks.
Chris' Tips
Our 2MT SHORT Arbor is specifically designed for use on most mini lathe tailstocks. It gives you almost an inch of extra space between centers.
Don't buy this product for other small lathes that accept a standard arbor, as it won't eject from the tailstock when you retract the quill. You may need a standard-length drill chuck arbor.
