This compound rest top makes a small quick change tool post a bolt-on accessory.

It does not have a boss extending up from the top surface.

The two tapped holes that secure the feed screw retainer must be match drilled and tapped in this part. Things come this way from the factory when they do the process during assembly. I'm sure they do it with a hand-held drill.

Chris Chris' Tips
If you get this compound top, do not purchase the PN 2713 quick change tool post. It does not have the correct mounting kit for this compound top. Purchase any of the quick change tool post sets listed on the compatibility tab. They are all bolt-on accessories with this compound rest top.
