HiTorque Deluxe Mini Lathe with LED display, tooling package, and stand cabinet.

This package includes the newest HiTorque mini lathe, model 7350, the 5124 tooling package and the 5626 stand cabinet.

The 7350 Deluxe mini lathe comes equipped with digital readouts on the cross slide, compound rest, and tailstock quill. The attractive hand wheels are all metal, and the levers are chrome.

A 500-Watt brushless spindle drive motor and belt drive provides tremendous power and low-end torque. There are NO gears to shift, so no gears to break. The drive allows for spindle speeds from 100 to 2500 RPM continuously in both directions. NSK brand Japanese-quality spindle bearings ensure smooth and quiet operation.

Standard on the lathe is an all steel, wedge-type quick change tool post which accepts turning tools up to 1/2" shank. Five toolholders are also included for the most common tools and tasks. The lathe also comes with a 4" Sanou lathe chuck, a Morse taper #2 dead center for the tailstock, and an 11-gear change gear set that includes a 21-tooth gear for accurate metric threading. For more details, see the Contents tab.

Real top and bottom half-nuts with a 16 TPI lead screw and a factory-installed threading dial provide extended threading capability. You can create every American Standard Unified class 2A inch screw thread from 4 to 80 threads per inch, and you can create every American Standard Metric class 6h thread from 0.3 to 8 mm pitch with the extra 21 tooth change gear that is included.

The 7x16 lathe includes attractive aluminum hand wheels and chrome levers. A backsplash guard and deluxe chip tray with rubber feet give a broader and more secure stance.

The 5124 tooling package comes equipped with a 2MT short arbor for the tailstock, a boring bar set, center drills, cut-off blade, 1/2" drill chuck and a set of turning tools with indexable inserts.

The 5626 stand cabinet comes from the lathe manufacturer and the chip tray has pre-drilled mounting holes that fit the footprint of the mini lathe. it is a single column design with a cabinet for storage.

HiTorque Mini Lathe, Tooling Package, and Stand. This includes the PN 5100 HiTorque Mini Lathe, the 5207 tooling package and the 5626 stand.

The LittleMachineShop.com HiTorque Mini Lathe is the best in its class. It has the most power, most torque, and a longer center distance than other lathes in its class.

The 500 Watt brushless spindle drive motor provides tremendous low-end torque. And you can vary the speed from 50 rpm to 2500 rpm continuously in both directions. There are no gears to shift.

The cross feed and compound rest dials are graduated in 0.001" and 0.025 mm.

Real top and bottom half-nuts and a reversible 16 TPI lead screw provide extended threading capability. You can create every American Standard Unified class 2A inch screw thread from 4 to 80 threads per inch, and you can create every American Standard Metric class 6h thread from 0.3 to 8 mm pitch with the extra 21 tooth change gear that is included.

The lathe includes a chip tray, a backsplash guard, and spreaders to give the feet a broader stance.

The LittleMachineShop.com model 5100 HiTorque Mini Lathe is a version of the SIEG SC2.

The Premium Tooling Package includes a high-quality all-steel wedge-style quick change tool post set with five tool holders, a 1/2" professional-grade drill chuck on a 2 Morse taper shank, American-made indexable turning tools, an indexable boring bar, a premium cut-off blade, and center drills.

View a comparison of the specifications for our lathes.

See what the difference is between the SIEG drive system and the HiTorque drive system.

With this lathe, you can create every American Standard Unified class 2A inch screw thread from 4 to 100 threads per inch, and you can create every American Standard Metric class 6h thread from 0.25 to 8 mm pitch with the extra 21 tooth change gear that is included.

But you can actually make more thread pitches than that. And, there are more change gear combinations than those shown in the users guide. To see what you can really do, see the Change Gear Calculator.

Why our mini lathes have plastic change gears

First, a couple of notes:

  • Our HiTorque machines do not have the plastic gears that break. When you read about mini lathes and mini mills breaking plastic gears, the vast majority of cases involve the two-speed gears inside the head. HiTorque machines, with the brushless DC drive, have a belt directly from the motor to the spindle. No gears at all in the spindle drive.
  • Our larger HiTorque bench lathes have no plastic gear at all. Every gear is metal.
LittleMachineShop.com HiTorque mini lathes do have ABS plastic change gears. Here are the reasons:

  • Plastic gears are quieter than metal gears. Metal change gears raise the sound level to an objectional level.
  • Plastic gears are appropriate to this application. They work fine and when you crash your lathe, they provide an inexpensive, easy to replace “mechanical fuse”.
  • Plastic gears are more economical. We choose not to charge extra for a basically worthless feature.
If you prefer metal change gears, we sell a Metal Change Gear Set.

Canadian Shipments

Truck Freight shipping to Canada involves 3 distinct charges in addition to the product costs. (All amounts are in US Dollars, see the current mid-market exchange rate.)

  1. Canadian Provincial Taxes (GST, PST, HST) depending on which province the shipment is going to. This will be 5% - 15% added to total sales amount depending on province (Canadian Sales Tax).

  2. Hemisphere Customs Brokerage which handles all customs clearance requirements. This is a flat fee of $108 on any shipment.

  3. Truck Freight from Southern California to destination in Canada. This is generally $300-$500 for residential liftgate delivery and appointment for single machine + tooling orders. Delivery to a terminal for pick-up or a commercial location with loading capabilities can reduce this cost substantially.

Inside Delivery

For many years we have offered INSIDE DELIVERY for an added charge (as set by freight carriers). Unfortunately, most carriers have stopped this practice for liability, cost, or other reasons and we can no longer reliably offer it. If you really need Inside Delivery, please give us a call and we can try to help with your specific situation. Our recommendation however has always been to call some friends or find someone local. Saves some money and lets you meet the neighbors....

Alternatively, companies like Navis Pack & Ship (www.gonavis.com) or similar may be able to help you pack up a machine, or move it into your home/shop.
