Tachometer, Spindle

This spindle tachometer mounts on the top of the mini lathe headstock and displays the speed, to the nearest 20 RPM, of the spindle.
The spindle tachometer includes the interrupter wheel and the sensor and cable.

This tachometer is specifically designed for the 7x10 and 7x12 mini lathe. But people have adapted it to work on many different machines. Mount the interrupter wheel on the spindle. The sensor straddles the interrupter wheel. See the interrupter wheel pages for dimensions.

You can use the tachometer on multiple machines by getting additional interrupter wheels and sensor and cables.
