Description
This high precision toolmakers screwless vise has a one-piece body. There are horizontal and vertical vees on the inside face of the movable jaw to hold round objects. This screwless vise has slots along the sides so you can clamp it to the mill table with a clamping kit.
The jaws are 1.38" (35mm) deep and open to 3.35" (85mm) capacity.
The vise is 7.48" (190mm) long, 2.83" (72mm) tall, and 2.83" (72mm) wide.
All sides are flat, square and parallel to 0.0002".
The body and jaws are hardened to Rc 58-62.
Chris's Tips
You can use your clamping kit to secure this vise using the slots in the ends, but we recommend that you make a couple of clamping blocks to secure the vise across the table.

One user suggests that you replace the M8x30 cap screw with an M8x40 cap screw. The extra length allows the locking pin to reach the position nearest the fixed jaw and puts the cap screw at a better angle.
