Description
Lathe starter kit with 3/8" tool bits provides the basics to get started with a Bench lathe. Designed for 8x - 9x bench lathes and includes all the basics you need to get started.
- 3/8" square by 2-1/2" long HSS mini lathe tool bits (6288) made of M2 high speed steel. The standard turret tool post on most bench lathes is sized to use 3/8" tool bits. Set includes: No.1 Right-Hand Turning Tool (80°), No.2 Left-Hand Turning Tool (80°), No.3 Straight Turning Tool (60°), No.4 Corner (45°) Tool, No.5 Parting Tool, No.6 Boring Tool, No.7 Threading (60°) Tool, No.8 Corner (60°) Tool.
- Standard 2MT to 33JT arbor. This starter kit is appropriate for lathes with a standard 2MT tailstock taper (2955).
- Drill Chuck: 0-1/2" Capacity. The rated capacity of the drill chuck is 1 mm (0.039") to 13 mm (0.512"). Runout of this chuck is 0.008" (0.20 mm) or less. All working parts are hardened. Chuck key is included. Number 33 Jacobs taper mount (1212).
- Center Drills: Four sizes combined drills and countersinks made of high-speed steel. Sizes 1, 2, 3, and 4 with 60-degree countersinks (2990).
