4" ULTRA SERIES ANGLE TIGHT POSITIVE LOCK MILL VISE ON SWIVEL BASE.
This is a very well-made professional grade precision 4" Kurt-style milling machine vise with a swivel base. The top, bottom of vise bed, gib, jaws, swivel base, and all plate mounting surfaces are hardened and super precision ground (see specs). The detachable swivel base features easy to read divisions.
The Jaws are 4" wide, 1.5" deep, open 4.3", and are perpendicular to the ways within 0.004.
The vise dimensions are 12.8" long, 3.5" high (5" high with base), and the ways are parallel to the base within 0.0003" without the swivel.
Vise features totally enclosed heavy-duty heat-treated screw with thrust bearings and oil ports. The screw enclosure protects moving parts from materials or fluids that could cause damage. The large diameter screw and precision threading ensure smooth repeatable operation.
The replaceable jaws can be mounted on either end of the fixed and movable jaw supports providing a wide range of clamping distances. They match American industry standards and can replaced with a variety of hard or soft jaw options. Behind the jaws a large anvil area provides additional support and rigidity.
