Description

Lathe starter kit with 3/8" tool bits provides the basics to get started with a small lathe.

The kit contains:

0-1/2" drill chuck and key

Standard 2MT to 33JT arbor

Four center drills, sizes 1,2,3,and 4

Five 3/8" M2 high speed steel tool bit blanks

This starter kit is appropriate for lathes with a standard 2MT tailstock taper.

This kit includes a stub arbor that does not need to be cut off.

We have two lathe starter kits. One starter kit (PN 1261) has 5/16 tool bits which are the correct size for 7x10, 7x12, and 7x14 mini lathes. This kit includes a 2MT short arbor which gives you full use of the tailstock stroke on the mini lathe.

The other starter kit (PN 1796) has 3/8" tool bits which work for most other small lathes. This kit includes a standard 2MT arbor which works in most lathes with a 2MT tailstock taper.
