Description

DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY TO UPGRADE HITORQUE BENCH LATHES (7600) WITH A 9" SWING TO AN AXA TOOLPOST. Current SC50 compound rest top must be swapped with the top that is included with this kit in order to mount the AXA post.

The mounting assembly includes the compound rest top (6573), oiler (1655), mounting stud (6721), and washer (6724).

This tooling package contains all the tooling you need to be productive with your lathe on the first day you own it. It works with the LittleMachineShop.com HiTorque 9x20 bench lathes as well as other SC50 lathes. 

Includes an AXA (Series 100) quick change tool post set (2280). This set includes the tool post and the following tool holders:

  • 2 - #1 Turning and Facing
  • 1 - #2 Boring, Turning and Facing
  • 1 - #4 Heavy Duty Boring will hold both 5/8 and 3/4 boring bars
  • 1 - #7 Universal Parting Blade (for 1/2-inch cut-off blade - horizontal)

The quick-change tool post is made from hardened steel. No tools are required to change tools. Additional tool holders are available.

The turning tool holders accept tools up to 1/2" shank. The turning and boring tool holder accepts boring bars with up to 1/2" round shanks. The cut-off tool holder holds 1/2" tall parting blades.

This set also includes:

  • The 1/2" capacity drill chuck (1212) is mounted on a standard 2 Morse taper arbor (2955). The rated capacity of the drill chuck is 1 mm (0.039") to 13 mm (0.512").
  • Set of 5 indexable turning tools (AR, AL, BR, BL, E), inserts, a wrench, and extra screws. It comes in a wooden case. The carbide inserts are TCMT-21.51 (1669).
  • The 9-piece carbide tipped boring bar set includes three different length boring bars each for minimum bores of 5/16", 3/8", and 7/16". The bore depth ranges from 3/4" to 2-1/4". Heat treated, alloy steel shanks (1247).
  • One size P1 cut-off blade made from HSS. Width: 1/16", Height: 1/2", Length: 4-1/2". These blades are considered T-Shaped and provide great side clearance (1929).
  • 5-piece combined drills and countersinks (center drills). The center drill set is high speed steel and includes sizes 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. These are 60-degree center drills. These are the sizes that are most used by bench top machinists (1230).
